Perform at a senior home

Tell us your instrument and roughly how often you’d like to play. You go on the roster, and we ask about each date as it comes up — no fixed commitment, no audition, no fee.

Volunteer hour certificates at every 4 hours. Performances and build meetings both count toward the total, and we can write a volunteer service letter on request.

Participants must be at least 6 years old. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to confirm consent — we email them before adding a student to the roster.

Makers

Build assistive devices

Build meetings assemble assistive devices and adapted toys from printed parts, using the Makers Making Change library. No 3D printer and no experience needed — just hands and an evening. You can also use this form to ask about a device or toy for someone.

Volunteer hour certificates at every 4 hours. Performances and build meetings both count toward the total, and we can write a volunteer service letter on request.

Care homes, media, and everyone else

Run a care home and want a visit? Asking about donations, media, or a partnership? This one reaches us too. The parent or guardian fields switch on only if you tell us you’re under 18, because adults use this form as well.

Volunteer hours

Every 4 hours of performing or building earns a volunteer hour certificate. Both programs count toward the same total, and travel to and from a show counts as part of the day.

Hours are logged on the day by an organiser.
Certificates are issued as PDFs, signed and dated.
Nothing expires — hours accumulate across the year.

Volunteer Service Letter Request

You can request a Volunteer Service Letter at any performance — ask an organiser on the day and we’ll take your details there. Or email us and we’ll write it the same week.

Addressed to a school, scholarship, or award committee.
States your role, dates played, and total hours.
Sent as a signed PDF, or printed on request.

No. You are on the roster, and we check in before each show to see who can make it. Say yes to what works.

Piano, strings, voice, clarinet, cello — whatever you bring. Any level you are comfortable playing in front of people.

Thirty to forty-five minutes of music, plus about twenty minutes of setup before and a short pack-up after.

No. Build meetings need people to assemble, wire switches, and test. We print the parts ahead of time.

Yes, with a heads-up so the home can plan seating. Extra hands for setup are always welcome.
