Build meets are where we assemble the 3D printed assistive devices and adapted toys we make through Makers Making Change. No printer and no experience needed — we’ll show you what to do when you get there.
The next build meet
Want in on one of these? Sign up through Get Involved and we’ll email you the address before the meet. Every 4 hours earns a volunteer hour certificate, time at performances counts toward the same total, and we can write a volunteer service letter on request.
Bring nothing but yourself
We print the pieces ahead of time. At the meet, we sort them, put them together, wire up any switches, and test that everything actually works before it goes to the person who asked for it. A phone for the assembly instructions helps.

Parts come off the printer before the meeting, so nobody waits on a machine.
Sort and assemble
Pieces get sorted, then put together following the Makers Making Change instructions.
Wire and test
Switches get wired up and everything is tested before it leaves the table.
Hand it on
The finished device goes to the person who asked for it, at little to no cost.
